Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS

Cake
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt

Filling
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
6 oz chocolate chips½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Combine the vegetable oil and sugar.
Add the eggs and then add sour cream.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to the egg mixture.

Set aside.

To make the filling, combine in a separate bowl the 1/2 cup of sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips and (nuts).

Spoon half the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
Then spread half the filling over the batter in a swirling motion.
Cut through the batter with a table knife.
Add the rest of the batter and then the rest of the filling.
Again, cut through the batter.
Bake in a 350 oven for 45 minutes.
Allow to cool before removing from the pan.
